I have a question...do you know what blood type you are? What about your husband and children? Well! I didn't know what Kennedy was and I've been calling around to the pediatrician and hospital trying to get that information. I think it's important to know what blood type Kennedy is just in case something happens and she needs someone else's blood...ANYWAY! I finally talked to a nurse and a medical records representative and both of them stated that a blood test would not be ordered unless it was absolutely needed and I would have to find an outside lab "willing" to draw blood from her and pay for the test myself.
So, armed with that information I called around to those "Any Lab" places and they said they would do it, but didn't know if they had a small enough needle and the test would be 54.00. With that information I went to the web...and searched for a home test I could do to get the blood type of Kennedy. Well! I found one! One kit was 12.00 (a lot less that the lab wanted).
Kenny always claimed that he was A+ and I didn't believe him because that's a rare blood type...so I got another one for him!
I was really excited when I checked the mail today, because my kits had arrived. After reading the instructions (which took 10 minutes) I had Kenny prick himself and apply his blood to the testing agents. After his blood type was confirmed to be A+ we went to work on Kennedy.
Kennedy was a real trooper and only cried for a quick second and by the time the results were ready (40 seconds), she had stopped crying...and guess what! she's A+ too...!
I'm boring O+, but I am a universal donor...anyone need a blood donor?!
Please enjoy my pictures of the blood type test...they actually included clear sticker like paper so you could save the results...I think I'm throwing them away as soon as I get off the computer.

I haven't the slightest idea. Where'd you find the tests?
